The lack of specific solutions for female healthcare and inaccessibility due to stigma and cultural constraints is a problem still valid in most parts of the world, especially for women in Asia and in particular, when it comes to reproductive health. This topic has not received the necessary attention during the last years and has a huge potential to be individualized and digitalized. With Fanita, we are set out to attend these issues, building the next-generation healthcare platform for women in Southeast Asia, starting in Indonesia.
We will build an education and telemedicine platform, which starts out with providing women with the possibility to obtain contraceptives in a judgement-free and medically safe way. In addition to that, we will offer an app, with which women can track their cycle as well as overall well-being and possibly occurring side-effects of their birth control or other medication. On the one hand, to generate data for understanding the patient’s health status, on the other hand to ensure the trouble-free use of the contraceptives. On this base, we will roll out into larger and more advanced product portfolios later on. Other contraception, STD-prevention & treatment, pre- and post-pregnancy care, menopause… Just to name a few of the issues we will be targeting. All Big-Data enabled. Safer and more reliable than a traditional visit at the doctors.
